Sustainability and Research and Development
From the product design to installation, our group is environmentally aware and ecologically sensitive. International legislation requires manufacturers to be environmentally responsible in the managing transportation, installation and waste production. Thanks to the technological development of polymers, we can develop new membranes to meet the growing market demand for waterproofing.
Our commitment to sustainability
Our commitment is directed toward you and the environment. Our group has been a leader in promoting sustainability for the construction industry. We focus our development on sustainability and our research is directed toward evaluating and minimizing the impact that our products and activity have on the environment, and the impact that human beings have during the useful life of a building (including product manufacturing, transportation, construction, operation and demolition).
Our research and development teams work in collaboration with international laboratories, both public and private, to develop innovative solution to satisfy and exceed the market standards.
They use FESD (environmental and sanitary statement form) to measure and analyze the impact of specific materials and resources on the useful life of products (from manufacturing to construction, operation and demolition).
-”New Generation” Membranes
Processing polymers and additives in the form of granules or powder reduces the risk of accidents to a minimum during production and minimizes the environmental impact. Gas emissions and gas processing are much lower than the average maximum concentration considered acceptable in the work environment. Central cooling fluid is recirculated, preventing the the waste from contaminating the environment. The emissions from our manufacturing plants are so low that they do not present any risk of pollution.
-Material Evaluation
Evaluation of materials and manufacturing processes is conducted with state-of-the-art technology. Our tests study all aspects of environmental impact.
Innovation and technology
Research and development play a vital role in our company, aimed at improving production and installation techniques. Development of new technologies is fundamental to meeting the future requirements of the construction industry. All of our products undergo rigorous tests before being certified as having met the relevant performance criteria.
The research and development laboratory reproduces environmental conditions that membranes often undergo: tearing, exposure to extreme temperatures, ultraviolet radiation and puncturing.
Our group leads the way in designing test systems and formulating quality control methods that now reflect the requirements of the norms in the waterproofing and insulation industry.
