Logotipo Texsa, S.A.

TEXPRIMER is an epoxy-water based two component primer. It is low-viscosity and odourless and, due to its high technology, catalyses with modified amines, inducing greater adhesion power on the support and achieving the optimal state of adherence.

. Easy application (brush, roller or airless equipment)
. Excellent adherence, even on concrete supports with residual moisture
. Dissolves in water, environmentally-friendly
. Odourless
. Excellent adherence on non-absorbent surfaces
Primer for liquid polyurethane waterproofing systems.
Bonding interphase between liquid polyurethane membranes, if time has been exceeded for bonding of the same. Primer on concrete supports that have residual moisture.
In non-absorbent substrates such as steel, aluminium, ceramic tile, etc.
As a sealant for pores, cracks and capillarities in the concrete.
- Carefully preparing the surface is essential for good durability.
- The surface must be clean, flat, and free of contaminants, which could negatively affect adhesion of the membrane. Humidity must not exceed 8%. Substrate compression resistance must be ≥25 MPa, and the adhesive resistance ≥1.5 MPa. Loose layers, dirt, grease, oils, organic substances and dust must be removed.
- Apply TEXPRIMER B into TEXPRIMER A and gently mix for 3-5 minutes with a mechanical mixer. Mixture ratio 3:1 (A:B).
- Then, dilute with 15-25% clean water.
Installation :
Add 5 to 10 % of water to component A and make it uniform. Immediately after pour component B and
continue to mix for between 3 and 5 minutes, until the red-coloured mixture is uniform.
Mixture ratio : 3:1.
Apply with a brush, roller or airless equipment.
Each layer requires 12 hours to dry.
While the primer is still tacky, apply the polyurethane liquid membrane.
The fresh concrete structures should be left to cure for 28 days minimum.
In very porous surfaces, apply 2 layers of the product. If the concrete layer has residual moisture, apply 2 layers of the TEXPRIMER and in the last fresh layer apply 0.5 kg/m2 of special aggregate. If for some reason it is left to dry for more than 24 hours, it is recommended to sand the surface and apply a new layer of primer.
It is recommended to install some sort of mechanical ventilation in closed and humid areas in order to accelerate the drying of the support.
Coverage :
100 g/m2 - 200 g/m2 in one of two layers.
Factors such as porosity of the surface, temperature and the method of application can alter the coverage amount.
This amount of coverage is based on application using a roller on a surface in optimal conditions
Temperature: +10 ºC and 35 ºC
Mixture duration: ± 45 min
Can be walked on/apply second coat: ± 6-12 hours
Curing time: ± 7 days
TEXPRIMER is supplied in sets of 2 components:
Components: A 15 kg, B 5 Kg (large set)
Components: A 3 kg, B 1 Kg (small set).
Storage :
Must be kept in a dry place and protected from humidity and the sun.
Maximum recommended storage time: 12 months at 25º C in its own packaging.
Composant A: 15 Kg / pallet 36 drums
